Carlos Alcaraz and Andre Agassi offered a glimpse of the friendly spirit behind the Laver Cup after sharing an embrace and a laugh at The O2 in London ahead of this year's competition.
The meeting brought together two generations of tennis, with Alcaraz representing the modern ATP Tour and Agassi, a former world No. 1 and Grand Slam champion, returning as Team World's captain. Both are members of the ATP No. 1 Club, adding significance to their encounter.
The ninth edition of the Laver Cup will take place from September 25 to 27, with Team Europe aiming to reclaim the trophy and Team World seeking to extend its recent success.
Team Europe, led by captain Yannick Noah and vice-captain Tim Henman, features a strong lineup that includes Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Flavio Cobolli, Jakub Mensik, Rafael Jodar and Casper Ruud. The squad combines established contenders with emerging talent, including Jodar, who is set to make his Laver Cup debut.

Team World, meanwhile, will look to defend its title under Agassi. The team includes Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, Alexander Bublik, Learner Tien, Francisco Cerundolo and Brandon Nakashima, who joins the competition as a debutant following Ben Shelton's withdrawal.
Players from both teams have been preparing on the tournament's distinctive black hard court at The O2, where singles and doubles matches will determine the champion across three days of competition.
The Laver Cup brings together some of tennis' biggest names in a format that combines fierce competition with team camaraderie.
