Alexander Zverev has secured his place at the 2026 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, joining Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner as the first two singles players to qualify for the season-ending tournament.
The German's qualification caps an impressive 2026 campaign, highlighted by his first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros and a run to the Wimbledon final.
Zverev confirmed his place after a strong showing at the National Bank Open, adding to a season of consistent results across the ATP Tour. The 29-year-old has also reached the semi-finals at the Australian Open, Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo and Munich, while finishing runner-up at the Mutua Madrid Open.

His latest qualification also extends an impressive record at the ATP Finals. Zverev has now reached the season-ending event nine times in the past 10 seasons, with his only absence coming in 2022. He has twice lifted the trophy, winning in 2018 and 2021, and currently holds an 18-12 career record at the tournament.
That record puts Zverev among a select group of active players. Alongside Novak Djokovic and Sinner, he is one of only three active singles players to have won the Nitto ATP Finals more than once. His experience at the event could prove valuable when the eight-player tournament gets underway in Turin from November 15 to 22.
Zverev's consistency has also been reflected in his season numbers. He has collected 44 ATP Tour wins in 2026, matching Sinner for the most victories on tour this year. He has also won 16 of his last 19 matches, giving him strong momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
With Zverev and Sinner already guaranteed their places, six singles spots remain up for grabs. The battle is expected to intensify as players compete for crucial ranking points in the final months of the season.
In the doubles competition, Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten are currently the only pair to have secured qualification, with the remaining places still to be decided as the race to Turin continues.
