Aprilia could soon land one of the biggest commercial deals in MotoGP after reports emerged that Monster Energy is set to become the Italian manufacturer’s new title sponsor from the Mugello round onward.
The partnership would mark a significant breakthrough for Aprilia, which has remained the only factory team on the current MotoGP grid without a naming sponsor despite its growing competitiveness in recent seasons.
According to reports first published by Motorsport.com and later backed by other sources, Monster Energy is preparing to switch its focus toward Aprilia as questions continue to surround its long-term future with Yamaha.
The timing is notable. Aprilia has steadily established itself as a serious contender in MotoGP, helped by strong performances from riders such as Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin. The factory is also preparing for an ambitious future project that includes attracting top-tier talent and expanding its commercial profile.

For years, Monster Energy has been closely associated with Yamaha, serving as title sponsor of the factory team since 2019 after initially joining as a major partner in 2015. However, industry speculation over recent months has suggested the energy drink brand may be ready for a fresh direction within MotoGP.
A switch to Aprilia would also strengthen Monster’s connection with several riders already linked to the brand, including Bezzecchi and Ducati star Francesco Bagnaia, who is expected to join Aprilia in the future according to ongoing paddock rumours.
The potential agreement would give Aprilia a major financial and marketing boost at a crucial stage of its MotoGP project. Team CEO Massimo Rivola had previously admitted disappointment over the lack of a title sponsor despite the manufacturer’s improving results on track.
If finalized, the deal would not only elevate Aprilia’s commercial standing but also signal another major shift in MotoGP’s evolving sponsorship landscape as manufacturers continue battling for both results and global brand visibility.
