Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool continued their impressive 2026 season by winning the Mubadala DC Open doubles title, defeating Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic 6-3, 6-4 in the final.
The British pair overcame a rain interruption during the championship match to secure victory in 76 minutes, lifting their second ATP Tour trophy of the year after previously winning the Barcelona Open.
Cash and Glasspool made a strong start to the final before rain suspended play with them leading 3-1 in the second set. When the match resumed, they quickly regained momentum and closed out the contest in straight sets.
The third seeds delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament. They did not lose a single set on their way to the title and successfully saved all four break points they faced in the final, highlighting their composure in key moments.
The Washington triumph marks the 10th ATP Tour doubles title the pair have won together, further establishing them as one of the circuit's most consistent partnerships.
The victory also strengthens their bid to qualify for the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals. Cash and Glasspool climbed to 10th in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings and remain firmly in contention for a place among the top eight teams that will compete in Turin.
Having reached the semi-finals on their ATP Finals debut in 2022, the British duo will now look to carry their momentum into the remainder of the season as they chase another appearance at the prestigious year-end event.
