Diogo Moreira secured a 10th-place finish at Silverstone on Sunday, earning valuable points for Honda LCR after a challenging weekend at the British circuit.
Starting 14th on the grid, the Brazilian made a strong launch and remained focused on making steady progress through the field. Despite struggling for pace on the demanding track throughout the weekend, Moreira kept his race under control and avoided major mistakes.
“This weekend, we’ve struggled quite a bit. This track has been demanding for us, so we’ve tried to learn as much as possible, avoid mistakes, and do the best job possible,” Moreira said.
The Honda LCR rider gradually worked his way forward during the race, eventually breaking into the top 10 to achieve the target he had set before Sunday’s action.
“Yesterday, I said that a top 10 was the goal, and we did it!” he said.
The result gave Moreira another points finish while also providing the team with useful information from a difficult weekend. With the Silverstone challenge behind him, the Brazilian believes the lessons learned will be important for the team moving forward.
“The important thing is that we’ve scored some more points and gathered some important information,” Moreira added.
