Diogo Moreira enjoyed a productive outing during Monday’s MotoGP test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, ending the day ninth overall after completing an extensive programme with the Pro Honda LCR team.
The Brazilian rider posted a best lap of 1min 39.254sec while completing 42 laps, with much of the team’s work carried out during the morning session before rain interrupted running later in the day.
Moreira and the team focused on testing different aerodynamic packages and setup changes as part of the rookie’s ongoing development on the MotoGP machine.
The 21-year-old said the test provided valuable opportunities to continue learning despite the physical demands following a race weekend.
“Monday tests are always useful, although we’re also quite tired after a race weekend,” said Moreira.
“I was able to try some of the things we needed to test, and overall it was a positive day.”
The encouraging performance added another step forward in Moreira’s adaptation to the premier class, with the Brazilian continuing to gain confidence and experience with every outing.
“Every lap is important because we’re still learning a lot, and so far everything has gone well,” he added.
