Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul continued their impressive doubles campaign by winning the Nordea Open in Bastad, defeating top seeds Theo Arribage and Francisco Cabral in straight sets to secure their second ATP Tour title of the 2026 season.
The second-seeded French duo produced a composed display to earn a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the final, successfully defending all four break points they faced to seal the championship.
It was the first ATP Tour meeting between the two teams, with Doumbia and Reboul proving too strong as they wrapped up another successful week on the Swedish clay.
Their route to the title was far from straightforward. The pair dropped just one set throughout the tournament, which came during a hard-fought semi-final against Jean-Julien Rojer and Theodore Winegar. They recovered well to book their place in the final before delivering another confident performance against the tournament's top seeds.
Reboul revealed that Bastad's relaxed atmosphere helped the pair enjoy one of their best weeks of the season, despite him battling illness during the tournament.
"We're very happy. It was a pretty difficult week because I was a bit sick, but the place is so amazing and we fought in every match," Reboul said.
The Frenchman added that the pair made the most of their time away from the court by visiting the beach, spending time with friends and enjoying the local nightlife, helping them stay refreshed throughout the week.
Doumbia praised the team's resilience, saying their ability to stay united during difficult moments was key to lifting the trophy.
"I feel like we found a way to fight," he said. "Today was very tough as well and we found a way to fight and stay together as a team."
The Bastad triumph marks the seventh ATP Tour title Doumbia and Reboul have won together, underlining the strength of one of the tour's most established partnerships.
The victory also strengthens their chances of qualifying for the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals. The pair currently sit ninth in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings, leaving them firmly in contention for a maiden appearance at the prestigious event in Turin.
With another title added to their growing collection and momentum building in the second half of the season, Doumbia and Reboul have established themselves as one of the ATP Tour's most consistent doubles teams.
