San Antonio Spurs rookie Dylan Harper has etched his name into NBA history after a remarkable playoff performance that placed him alongside Hall of Famer Magic Johnson in a rare statistical category.
In a Western Conference Finals Game 1 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Harper delivered a complete all-around display with 24 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and seven steals, helping the Spurs secure a 122-115 double-overtime win on the road.
The performance made Harper just the second rookie in NBA history to record at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals in a playoff game, joining Magic Johnson in that exclusive club.
Beyond scoring, Harper’s defensive impact stood out, as his seven steals disrupted Oklahoma City’s offensive flow during key stretches of the game. His two-way performance proved crucial in a tightly contested matchup that went into double overtime.
The achievement adds to what has already been a standout debut season for the second overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Thrust into a larger role due to injuries in the Spurs roster, Harper has consistently stepped up in high-pressure playoff moments and continued to grow into a key contributor for San Antonio’s deep postseason run.
With the Spurs now firmly in contention in the Western Conference Finals, Harper’s emergence adds another dimension to a young roster that is rapidly gaining attention across the league.
