Norris Capitalises on McLaren's Dramatic Strategy Battle
Oscar Piastri led much of the race after overtaking Norris on the opening lap, but McLaren's pit strategy split the teammates during the second round of stops. The Briton comfortably managed the restart to take the chequered flag, while Max Verstappen inherited second place and Antonelli secured an impressive third after a strong late-race performance. Lewis Hamilton crossed the line fourth but dropped to fifth after receiving a five-second penalty for exceeding the pit lane speed limit during the late Virtual Safety Car pit stops.
Leclerc Gains as Russell Recovers and Audi Scores First Points
Charles Leclerc was promoted to fourth, while Isack Hadjar finished sixth ahead of George Russell, who recovered brilliantly after dropping to the back of the field at the race start.
