Fabio Quartararo is keeping his expectations in check ahead of this weekend's German MotoGP, with the Yamaha rider admitting the Sachsenring has traditionally been one of the manufacturer's more challenging circuits.
Although Yamaha has shown encouraging progress in recent rounds, Quartararo believes the German track's unique layout is unlikely to play to the strengths of the M1. He expects a demanding weekend but remains focused on building on the positives from recent races.
The 2021 MotoGP world champion acknowledged that Yamaha has taken important steps forward this season, particularly in improving its overall performance. However, he feels the Sachsenring's series of long left-hand corners and technical characteristics make it a difficult venue for the bike.
