Marc Marquez continued his remarkable record at Sachsenring by claiming a dominant victory in Saturday's Sprint race, leading a Ducati lockout of the podium at the German Grand Prix.
Starting from pole position, the factory Ducati rider controlled all 15 laps to secure his 19th career MotoGP Sprint win. Marc crossed the line 0.368 seconds ahead of Gresini Racing's Alex Marquez, while VR46 rider Fabio Di Giannantonio completed the top three to seal a one-two-three finish for Ducati.
The revised MotoGP starting grid, introduced this weekend to increase the distance between riders for safety reasons, resulted in a relatively calm opening lap. Marc held the lead into Turn 1 despite pressure from Alex, while Di Giannantonio briefly lost third to Ai Ogura before quickly reclaiming the position later in the opening lap.
Although Alex remained within striking distance for much of the race, he was unable to mount a serious challenge for the lead. Instead, the battle shifted behind him as Di Giannantonio closed the gap in the closing laps, but the Italian also found no opportunity to make a pass on the narrow Sachsenring circuit.

Trackhouse Racing's Ai Ogura finished fourth ahead of teammate Raul Fernandez, giving Aprilia a strong result despite the absence of factory rider Marco Bezzecchi, who was ruled out after suffering a broken left clavicle in qualifying. Championship leader Jorge Martin finished sixth to extend his advantage at the top of the standings, while Francesco Bagnaia recovered from 11th on the grid to finish seventh. Pedro Acosta claimed the final Sprint point in eighth.
The victory further underlined Marc Marquez's dominance at Sachsenring, where he once again looked in complete control from lights out to the chequered flag. With maximum Sprint points secured and Sunday's Grand Prix still to come, the Spaniard strengthened his bid to close the gap in the championship heading into the second half of the season.
