Marc Marquez heads into this weekend's German MotoGP as the favourite on paper, but the Ducati rider believes his biggest challenge will be overcoming the physical demands of the Sachsenring.
The Spaniard has enjoyed unparalleled success at the German circuit, winning 12 races across all classes, including last year's MotoGP event. However, Marquez admitted he is not expecting an easy weekend despite his impressive record.
The Sachsenring's layout, with its series of fast left-hand corners, places significant strain on riders, particularly on the upper body and shoulders. Having recently battled injuries, Marquez acknowledged that his physical condition remains his biggest concern.
"I think I will struggle physically," Marquez said ahead of the race weekend, explaining that while the circuit has traditionally suited his riding style, his body is not yet at full strength after the setbacks he has endured this season.

Even so, the six-time MotoGP world champion remains optimistic. He believes the opening practice sessions will give him a better understanding of both his physical condition and the bike's competitiveness before setting realistic expectations for the weekend.
Marquez also stressed the importance of managing his workload throughout the event rather than pushing beyond his limits too early. While victory is always the target, he said staying physically comfortable over the race distance will be equally important.
Despite his cautious approach, Marquez's record at Sachsenring makes him one of the leading contenders once again. If his fitness holds up, the Ducati rider will be aiming to add another memorable chapter to his remarkable history at one of MotoGP's most iconic venues.
