Marco Bezzecchi has returned to riding for the first time since suffering a fractured collarbone at the German Grand Prix, providing a positive update on his recovery ahead of a possible return at the British Grand Prix.
The Aprilia rider completed four riding sessions at Misano aboard a production version of the RSV4, less than three weeks after undergoing surgery on the injury sustained in a heavy crash during the Sachsenring sprint race.
Bezzecchi crashed on the opening lap of the sprint on July 11, fracturing his left collarbone. He travelled back to Italy the same day and underwent successful surgery the following morning, with Aprilia immediately targeting a return for the next MotoGP round at Silverstone.
The latest outing at Misano marks an important milestone in his rehabilitation. While he was not riding his MotoGP machine, completing multiple sessions on a road bike is an encouraging sign that the Italian is regaining strength and confidence before resuming full race duties.
Aprilia has yet to confirm whether Bezzecchi will be declared fit for the British Grand Prix, as he must first pass the mandatory medical assessment before returning to competition.
Bezzecchi's return would provide a timely boost for Aprilia as the championship enters a crucial stage of the season. Before his injury, the Italian had established himself as one of the leading contenders in the title race after a strong start to the 2026 campaign.
