Marco Bezzecchi has committed to a new multi‑year contract with Aprilia Racing, solidifying his role as a key figure in the team after a breakthrough 2025 campaign.

Aprilia Racing has confirmed that Marco Bezzecchi has signed a new multi‑year contract with the factory MotoGP team, keeping the Italian rider with the squad beyond the 2026 season. The announcement, made on the eve of the pre‑season test at Sepang International Circuit, marks the first major rider decision of the upcoming 2027 market.

Bezzecchi, who joined Aprilia for the 2025 season after three years with the VR46 Ducati team, quickly became a central figure in the Noale outfit. In his first year with Aprilia, he delivered a standout performance, recording multiple victories and podiums and ultimately finishing third in the championship standings. That success made him the most successful rider in the team’s MotoGP history to date.

“I am extremely happy to have renewed for another two years,” Bezzecchi said in the team’s official statement. “From the first day I signed, I had the goal of building a long‑term project. I am grateful for the support of the entire team and the whole factory, and I hope I can continue to bring them success as they have supported me.”

Aprilia Racing’s CEO, Massimo Rivola, described the contract extension as a priority for the team. Rivola added that Bezzecchi received interest from other MotoGP teams, making his decision to stay with Aprilia a confirmation of the team’s progress and appeal to top riders.

With Bezzecchi locked in for the foreseeable future, Aprilia secures continuity at the front of its MotoGP project as the 2026 season approaches and preparations accelerate in testing.
