Marc Marquez has acknowledged that MotoGP is entering a new era, with a wave of talented young riders beginning to challenge the sport's established stars.
Speaking during a visit to the Formula 1 paddock in Barcelona, the Ducati rider reflected on the emergence of riders such as Pedro Acosta and Fermin Aldeguer, describing their arrival as a natural stage in every athlete's career.
At 33, Marquez is now one of the most experienced competitors on the MotoGP grid. After spending more than a decade battling some of the sport's biggest names, he now finds himself facing a younger generation eager to establish itself at the highest level.
Rather than viewing the newcomers as a threat, Marquez accepts that the sport is constantly evolving.
The Spaniard said riders eventually have to accept the arrival of younger competitors who bring fresh energy, determination and hunger for success. According to Marquez, every athlete experiences the same cycle at some point in their career.

However, acceptance does not mean surrender.
Marquez made it clear that his response is to work even harder in order to remain competitive. He believes experience can still be a valuable weapon against younger rivals, provided he continues pushing himself both physically and mentally.
The comments come as Marquez continues his recovery from recent physical setbacks. He revealed that he is feeling stronger than he did earlier in the season and hopes to make further progress before the summer break. The upcoming races will be important as he evaluates both his fitness and his ability to fight consistently at the front.
While MotoGP's future may belong to riders like Acosta and Aldeguer, Marquez has no intention of fading quietly into the background. Instead, he sees the challenge from the next generation as extra motivation to keep improving and remain one of the toughest riders to beat on the grid.
