MIAMI—Hard Rock Stadium may be a familiar sight for ATP and WTA players during the regular season, hosting combined 1000-level events, but on Monday evening, the spotlight shifted to MLB’s LoanDepot Park for the inaugural Miami Invitational.
Top stars including Carlos Alcaraz, Amanda Anisimova, Joao Fonseca, and Jessica Pegula took to the court at the baseball venue during the off-season, marking a unique addition to their tournament experiences.
Before the matches, Alcaraz also enjoyed a brief hitting session with Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo, one of several highlights captured at the transformed stadium. The world No. 1 also had a humorous moment on the court, accidentally hitting himself in the face while framing a volley—a reminder of the lighter side of the 2025 ATP Player of the Year.
