Pro Honda LCR rider Diogo Moreira was unable to finish the Sprint at the United States Grand Prix, following mechanical issues and a challenging start to the weekend.
After a morning crash and a tight qualifying session, Moreira lined up 14th on the grid. During the opening lap of the Sprint, he began experiencing a clutch problem and was forced to return to the pits by lap three, ending his race prematurely.
“I felt an issue with the clutch that didn’t improve, and I had to retire,” Moreira said.
The Brazilian remained focused on learning from the experience despite the setback. “This is part of racing, and we’ll try again tomorrow. It’s a demanding track, but it’s important to finish the race, keep learning, and see what we can do.”
The team is now analyzing the mechanical issue in detail to ensure the bike is ready for Sunday and to support Moreira in bouncing back from today’s challenges.
