The MotoGP paddock shifted its focus to development this week as all five manufacturers took part in a private two-day test at Misano, using the session to evaluate upgrades and gather important data ahead of the busy mid-season stretch.
Factories including Ducati, KTM, Aprilia, Honda, and Yamaha were all present at the Italian circuit, with several test riders and regular racers getting valuable track time. The session comes at a key moment in the season as teams continue searching for improvements in performance, consistency, and rider confidence.
Ducati once again attracted attention with its extensive testing programme. The Italian manufacturer used the opportunity to refine different aerodynamic packages and electronic settings as it aims to maintain its advantage at the front of the grid. Test rider Michele Pirro played a major role in gathering data for the factory squad.

Yamaha continued working on improving top speed and overall competitiveness of the M1 machine. The Japanese manufacturer has been under pressure to close the gap to Ducati, and the Misano outing allowed engineers to assess several technical updates in race-like conditions.
Honda also remained busy during the test as the manufacturer pushes ahead with its rebuilding project. The team focused on improving stability and rider feedback, two areas that have troubled the RC213V in recent seasons.
Aprilia used the test to further evaluate new components while continuing preparations for the second half of the campaign. KTM, meanwhile, concentrated on fine-tuning its package and collecting information that could help improve tyre management and race pace.
The Misano test was not only important for immediate performance gains but also served as an opportunity for factories to begin evaluating ideas for future bike development. With competition tighter than ever in MotoGP, even small improvements could make a major difference later in the season.
Several riders are also continuing their recovery and adaptation processes, making every testing opportunity valuable as teams prepare for the upcoming rounds.
As the championship battle intensifies, the two-day Misano session may prove to be one of the most significant development stops of the year, with manufacturers hoping the data collected can provide the edge needed in the races ahead.
