Raul Fernandez will remain with Trackhouse Aprilia through the 2028 MotoGP season after signing a new two-year contract with the team.
The Spaniard has been rewarded for his steady progress with Trackhouse, having developed into a race winner and regular podium contender since joining the squad during its RNF days in 2023.
Fernandez has enjoyed another strong campaign in 2026 as Aprilia continues to close the gap to the leading manufacturers. While he is yet to win a Sunday Grand Prix this season, he has claimed Sprint victories at Mugello and Assen, along with three Grand Prix podiums.
Two of those podium finishes have come in his most recent races, highlighting the improvement Fernandez has made as the season has progressed.
His new deal will keep him with the satellite Aprilia team until the end of 2028, making 2027 his sixth season with the squad. Trackhouse owner Justin Marks praised Fernandez's development, pointing to his growing maturity both on and off the bike as a key reason for extending their partnership.

Ai Ogura is set to leave the team for Yamaha, meaning Fernandez will have a new teammate in 2027. Trackhouse has yet to confirm who will take the second seat, although Enea Bastianini has been linked with the position.
Another major change will come off the track, with team principal Davide Brivio set to leave Trackhouse at the end of the current season. Fernandez has previously credited Brivio for helping him improve his performances and regain confidence over the past two seasons.
Despite those changes, Trackhouse clearly sees Fernandez as an important part of its long-term plans. The team believes its Aprilia machinery has the potential to become a consistent championship threat, and Fernandez's recent form suggests he could play a major role in that push.
