The Rome Masters semifinals feature heavyweight clashes as Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff all aim to secure a place in the final after strong runs on the clay in Rome.

The Rome Masters reaches its decisive stage as the semifinals bring together some of the biggest names in tennis, with Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff all chasing a place in the final.

On the men’s side, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner continues his dominant run in Rome, carrying a long winning streak and strong momentum into his clash with Andrey Rublev. Sinner has been in exceptional form since late 2023, adding major wins over top rivals and establishing himself as one of the most consistent forces on tour.

Rublev, however, arrives with confidence after a solid clay-court season and a strong run in Rome. He has also previously managed a win over Sinner, showing he can trouble the Italian when he finds his rhythm. Still, Sinner’s current consistency and form on home soil make him the favourite heading into the match.

In the women’s draw, Coco Gauff continues her hard-fought campaign in Rome after multiple three-set battles against Solana Sierra, Iva Jovic and Mirra Andreeva. Despite physical and mental challenges, she has managed to keep advancing, showing strong resilience throughout the tournament.

Her semifinal opponent Sorana Cirstea has also impressed with a standout run, including wins over top seed Aryna Sabalenka, Linda Noskova and Jelena Ostapenko. The Romanian has played freely and confidently, building one of her best results of the season. However, Gauff holds a perfect head-to-head record and has shown strong ability to perform under pressure in Rome.

The final women’s semifinal sees Iga Swiatek, widely regarded as the strongest clay-court player on tour, face Elina Svitolina. Swiatek holds a strong head-to-head advantage and remains unbeaten in their clay meetings, but Svitolina arrives in excellent form after a dramatic three-set win over Elena Rybakina.

Svitolina has enjoyed a strong season resurgence and even holds a recent win over Swiatek on hard courts, adding extra intrigue to the matchup. However, Swiatek’s consistency on clay and dominance in Rome history make her a difficult opponent to overcome.

With all four contenders in strong form, the Rome semifinals promise high-level battles as the race to the final intensifies on the clay courts.
