Aryna Sabalenka may have exited early at the Italian Open, but the World No. 1 still stole the spotlight in Rome after showcasing her luxury Gucci bag in a viral Vogue Italia feature.

Aryna Sabalenka may have suffered an unexpected early exit at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, but she still managed to capture attention in Rome for reasons beyond tennis.

Before her third-round loss to Sorana Cirstea, the world No. 1 arrived at Campo Centrale carrying a Gucci Paparazzo large top-handle bag, instantly drawing attention for its bold design and luxury appeal. The statement piece, valued at around $3,650, features GG canvas, leather detailing, and Gucci’s signature Web stripe and Horsebit hardware.

The high-profile appearance led to a collaboration with Vogue Italia, where Sabalenka took part in a “What’s in your bag?” feature that offered a glimpse into her personal life off the court.

Inside her bag were a mix of practical and personal items, including dog treats and cleaning wipes for her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Ash, who has been traveling with her on tour since March. Sabalenka said she makes sure to reward her dog for good behavior while on the road.

Also featured were everyday essentials such as makeup and perfume, which she said help her feel confident away from competition. A digital camera was another key item, used to capture moments with her dog, team, fiancé, and daily life on tour.

Despite the defeat in Rome, Sabalenka’s growing presence in fashion continues to stand out. Her recent partnership with Gucci has further strengthened her image as one of tennis’s emerging style figures, alongside her dominance on the court.

As her season continues, Sabalenka’s blend of elite performance and fashion influence keeps her firmly in the spotlight, both in sport and beyond.
