The stars of the ATP and WTA rewrote history time and time again in 2025, and this week on TENNIS.com we’re celebrating some of their biggest achievements with our top five stats of the year.
Yesterday, we kicked off our countdown with Jannik Sinner becoming the youngest player ever to reach the final of all four Grand Slams and the ATP Finals in the same season.

Aryna Sabalenka achieved a lot this year—most titles on the women’s tour, most single-season prize money in WTA history, fourth Grand Slam title and year-end No. 1, to name a few.
But it was her on-court skills that made that all happen, and there was one particular on-court skill that helped her shine.
Sabalenka didn’t lose a single tie-break for eight months at one point, winning 19—yes, 19—of them in a row, shattering the record for most tie-breaks won in a row by a woman in the Open Era.
The previous record belonged to Sloane Stephens, who won 14 in a row between Roland Garros in 2015 and Wimbledon in 2016.
And that wasn’t the only tie-break record she shattered.
At 22-3 for the year, Sabalenka also set a new record for most tie-breaks won in a single season by a woman in the Open Era.
The previous record for that statistic was 16, and it was actually a three-way tie between Billie Jean King in 1971, Wendy Turnbull in 1978 and most recently Elena Rybakina in 2023.
