Veteran duo Tan Wee Kiong and Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub delivered a standout performance at the Malaysian Masters, stunning fourth seeds and world No. 15 Lee Jhe-huei and Yang Po-hsuan to advance to the second round.
The Malaysian pair controlled the match from start to finish at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, winning 21-14, 21-14 in just 26 minutes. The result was particularly impressive as Wee Kiong and Azriyn had never beaten the Taiwanese pair in previous meetings since their first encounter at the 2023 Korean Open.
