KUALA LUMPUR: World champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei captured their fifth World Tour title after clinching the Indonesia Masters crown on Sunday.

The world No. 4 Malaysians fought back from a game down to beat Denmark's world No. 10 Mathias Christiansen-Alexandra Boje 15-21, 21-17, 21-11 at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta.

The victory also saw Tang Jie-Ee Wei exact sweet revenge on the Danes after having lost to them in the semi-finals of last year's Macau Open, and stretch their head-to-head record to 3-1.

It was double delight for Malaysia as world No. 2 Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah were earlier declared women's doubles champions following a walkover from Japan's Arisa Igarashi-Miyu Takahashi.

All eyes will now be on Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani, who will contest the men's doubles final against Indonesia's rising stars Raymond Indra-Nikolas Joaquin.

Victory for Sze Fei-Izzuddin would seal a historic treble for Malaysia — the first time the nation has won three titles at a Super 500 event or above since the World Tour era began in 2018.
