Celebrity-meets-sports event in Kuala Lumpur
KUALA LUMPUR — In conjunction with the upcoming film 5 Bomoh, production company Aizu Group is organising a special pickleball tournament featuring a mix of celebrities, influencers and media representatives in a casual yet competitive setting.
The event, named Pickleball 5 Bomoh, is scheduled for 8pm on June 1 at Cave PP Club Pickleball in Jalan Ampang, aiming to bring together entertainment figures and the sports community through a shared activity.
Star-studded participation
The tournament will feature around 40 teams and includes appearances from several well-known names such as Datuk Amy (Search), Datuk Aaron Aziz, Datuk Afdlin Shauki, Johan, Ozlynn Wati, Scha Al Yahya and Ungku Hariz. Former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is also expected to make a special appearance, coinciding with his involvement in the film.
Pickleball chosen for inclusivity
Organisers said pickleball was selected due to its accessibility, easy learning curve and suitability for participants of all ages and backgrounds. Aizu Group Chairman Datuk Aizuddin Ghazali said the concept is designed to blend entertainment and sport while strengthening ties between celebrities, media and the public.

“5 Bomoh Pickleball is not just a sports competition, but a platform to bring closer relationships between celebrities, social media influencers and media partners in a positive and relaxed atmosphere,” he said.
He added that the event also encourages healthy lifestyles, teamwork, tolerance and unity among participants. The competition will begin with group stages before moving into knockout rounds to determine the overall champion.

5 Bomoh, produced by Global Station Sdn Bhd, Skop Production Sdn Bhd and Aizu Group, is a satirical comedy highlighting superstition and exposing scams that exploit belief systems. Members of the public are invited to attend, meet celebrities and take part in the event’s lively atmosphere.
