Colapinto Secures Alpine Seat for 2027
Colapinto initially joined Alpine as a reserve driver for 2025 before being promoted to a race seat from the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, replacing Jack Doohan.
He was retained for the 2026 season and has since enjoyed a significant upturn in form, scoring 19 points across six Grands Prix so far. Together with Gasly, his results have helped Alpine sit sixth in the 2026 Teams' Championship.

While confirming its driver line-up, Briatore stressed that Alpine's biggest priority remains improving its car. With the driver situation now settled, the team can focus on designing and building a faster race car capable of moving towards the front of the grid.
