Arthur Fery's remarkable Wimbledon journey continued with a dominant straight-sets victory over ninth seed Flavio Cobolli, sending the British wildcard into his first Grand Slam semi-final.

Arthur Fery's fairytale Wimbledon run shows no signs of slowing after the British wildcard produced the biggest win of his career to reach the semi-finals with a commanding victory over Flavio Cobolli.

Ranked No. 114 in the world, Fery outclassed the ninth-seeded Italian 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-0 on Centre Court to book his place in a maiden Grand Slam semi-final. The 23-year-old delivered an assured display from start to finish, combining powerful serving with aggressive shot-making to overwhelm one of the tournament's form players.

The result marks another milestone in Fery's breakthrough campaign. Before Wimbledon, he had won only two main draw matches at Grand Slam level. Now, after victories over Zizou Bergs, former world No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov and Cobolli, he has become only the second men's wildcard in the Open Era to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals, following Goran Ivanisevic's famous title-winning run in 2001.

Fery looked composed throughout the quarter-final despite facing an opponent who had enjoyed an impressive season. After taking the opening set, the Brit held his nerve in a closely fought second-set tiebreak before completely taking control in the third, winning six consecutive games as Cobolli struggled to respond.

Speaking after the match, Fery said he had always believed he possessed the ability to compete with the world's best, adding that his confidence had continued to grow with every match at the All England Club. Playing just minutes from where he grew up, he has quickly become the home crowd's favourite as his dream run continues.

Fery's victory also guarantees a significant rise in the ATP rankings and cements his status as one of the breakout stars of this year's Championships.

His next challenge will be second seed Alexander Zverev, who defeated Taylor Fritz in straight sets to book his own place in the last four. Fery will now attempt to continue one of the most memorable Wimbledon stories in recent years and earn a place in his first Grand Slam final.
