Grand Slam success is measured not only by trophies but also by sustained excellence over many years. Few achievements reflect that better than the number of match victories at tennis' four major tournaments, where Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal have set remarkable standards.
Djokovic has established himself as the most successful player in Australian Open history. The 10-time champion has amassed 104 match wins in Melbourne, surpassing Roger Federer's previous record of 102 victories. His dominance is further highlighted by a 33-match winning streak between 2019 and 2024, cementing his reputation as the tournament's greatest performer.
At Roland Garros, however, the benchmark belongs to Nadal. The Spaniard's extraordinary record of 14 French Open titles is backed by 112 match wins from just 116 matches, making him by far the most dominant player in the tournament's history. Djokovic ranks second with 101 victories, but he still trails Nadal by 11 wins, illustrating the scale of the Spaniard's achievement on clay.

Wimbledon has also witnessed Djokovic's historic rise. Although Federer still holds the record with eight men's singles titles, Djokovic has overtaken him for the most match victories at the All England Club with 106 wins. Since making his Wimbledon debut in 2005, the Serbian has been one of the tournament's most consistent performers, reaching at least the semi-finals in each of his last seven appearances.
The US Open remains the only Grand Slam where a member of the Big Three has yet to claim the all-time match-win record. That honour still belongs to Jimmy Connors, who collected 98 victories during a career that included US Open titles on grass, clay and hard courts.
Djokovic is closing in on that milestone with 95 wins in New York. If he surpasses Connors, he would become the first player in history to record at least 100 match wins at all four Grand Slam tournaments, adding another remarkable accomplishment to an already legendary career.
While Grand Slam titles often define greatness, these match-win records showcase the consistency, longevity and resilience required to remain at the top of the sport. Together, they highlight the extraordinary legacies built by some of tennis' greatest champions.
