Johann Zarco is set to make his MotoGP comeback at the Aragon Grand Prix after recovering ahead of schedule from a left knee injury.

The Castrol Honda LCR rider is targeting a return to action in Aragon, although he must first pass the mandatory medical examination at the circuit before being cleared to race.

Zarco was sidelined after crashing during Sunday’s Catalan Grand Prix, suffering ligament injuries to his left knee. He and his medical team decided against surgery, with September initially identified as the likely timeframe for his return.

However, the Frenchman’s recovery has progressed well in recent weeks, allowing him to bring forward his comeback.

As part of his rehabilitation, Zarco gradually increased his workload and returned to riding, including sessions on a supermoto bike and a Honda CBR1000RR. His medical team has now given him clearance to resume racing.

Zarco will therefore travel to Aragon with the goal of rejoining the MotoGP grid, pending the final medical assessment.

Both Zarco and Castrol Honda LCR are eager to reunite at the Aragon Grand Prix and continue their 2026 campaign together.
