Marc Marquez has no plans for a quiet summer break, with the Ducati rider determined to use the time away from racing to improve his fitness and strengthen his bid for another MotoGP world title.
The eight-time world champion heads into the mid-season break on the back of an impressive victory at the German Grand Prix, a result that boosted his championship challenge. Despite his recent success, Marquez believes there is still work to do before he can consistently perform at his best across every circuit on the calendar.
The Spaniard admitted his physical condition remains a priority following the injuries and setbacks he has endured over the past year. Although he has won three of the last four races, including a physically demanding victory in the Czech Grand Prix, he feels there is still room for improvement, particularly with the strength and endurance of his right arm.
"On the physical side, I will try to keep working," Marquez said.

He explained that the summer break offers a rare opportunity to follow a structured training programme, something that is difficult to maintain during a busy race schedule. With more time between training sessions, Marquez hopes to build his fitness while allowing his body to recover properly.
The break is also important from a mental perspective. Marquez revealed that the opening part of the season was challenging after several unexplained crashes affected his confidence. A surgical procedure in May to fix a loose screw from a previous operation helped identify the source of the problem, allowing him to return to riding with greater confidence and less uncertainty.
"I want to ride in the same way, but with less stress," he said.
Marquez added that his move to Madrid has given him access to better training facilities and specialist equipment, helping him continue his rehabilitation and physical preparation.
With momentum on his side after his Sachsenring triumph, Marquez believes the summer break provides the perfect opportunity to reset both physically and mentally before the championship resumes. If he can return at full strength, the Ducati rider will be well positioned to continue his fight for another premier class title in the second half of the season.
