Croatia's Matej Dodig rallied from a set down to defeat Denmark's Elmer Moller 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the Braga Open final. The 21-year-old claimed his third ATP Challenger title and is set to reach a career-high ranking inside the world's top 150.

Croatia's Matej Dodig produced a determined comeback to win the Braga Open on Sunday, defeating Denmark's Elmer Moller 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final. The victory earned the 21-year-old his third ATP Challenger Tour title and secured his first appearance inside the world's top 150.

Ranked 174th in the world before the tournament, Dodig struggled to find his rhythm early as Moller took the opening set 6-3. However, the Croatian gradually found his footing, raising his level to take the second set 6-3 before controlling the decider 6-2.

Dodig's ability to adjust his tactics proved crucial. He praised Moller's aggressive game and powerful backhand, admitting that his opponent had put him under considerable pressure early in the match. The Croatian eventually changed his approach to target Moller's forehand, helping him gain control of the rallies.

Physical fatigue may also have played a part in the final. Moller had been pushed to three sets in all five of his matches during the tournament, while Dodig maintained his composure to close out the contest.

The Braga triumph marks Dodig's second title of the season, following his victory in Como in September, and his third Challenger crown overall. It also represents an important milestone after an ankle sprain in March interrupted his campaign.

The Croatian is expected to rise to a career-high ranking of 145th when the ATP rankings are updated. He also becomes the second Croatian player to win the Braga Open, following compatriot Luka Mikrut, who claimed the title in 2025.

For Moller, the defeat ended his bid for a fourth Challenger title in Portugal. The 23-year-old had been hoping to add Braga to his previous victories at the Oeiras Open 125 and Maia Open in 2025.

Following his victory, Dodig praised Braga's atmosphere, hospitality and food, describing the tournament as a memorable experience. He will now turn his attention to Maia, where the next stop of the Portuguese Challenger swing awaits.

With another title secured and a place in the ATP top 150 within reach, Dodig's latest success marks another significant step forward in his young career.
