The 2027 MotoGP rider market is rapidly taking shape, with most factory teams already finalising their line-ups following the signing of the new Concorde Agreement, which secures manufacturers' commitment to the championship until 2031.
While the agreement provides long-term stability for MotoGP, it has also sparked one of the busiest transfer windows in recent years. Several high-profile rider moves, combined with the expected arrival of multiple Moto2 graduates, are set to usher in a new era for the premier class.
Ducati has assembled one of the strongest pairings on the grid by signing eight-time world champion Marc Marquez alongside rising star Pedro Acosta. The combination of Marquez's experience and Acosta's pace underlines Ducati's ambition to remain the benchmark in MotoGP.
Aprilia has also made a statement by securing reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia, who will partner fellow Italian Marco Bezzecchi in an all-Italian factory line-up for 2027.
Yamaha has opted for a fresh direction after bringing in Jorge Martin and Japanese rider Ai Ogura, replacing Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins as the manufacturer looks to return to title contention.
KTM has completed its factory roster with the signings of Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio, creating a line-up focused on consistency and race-winning potential.
Honda remains the only factory team yet to officially confirm its riders. Fabio Quartararo is widely expected to lead the factory squad, while the second seat is reportedly between MotoGP rookie Diogo Moreira and Moto2 talent David Alonso.
Among the satellite teams, Gresini Racing has already confirmed Joan Mir and Moto2 graduate Dani Holgado after extending its partnership with Ducati. LCR Honda has Johann Zarco under contract for 2027, provided he recovers from his current injuries, while the second seat will likely depend on Honda's factory decisions. Alonso remains a possible candidate if Moreira earns promotion to the factory team.
Pramac Yamaha has secured World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlioglu and is expected to pair him with Moto2 rider Izan Guevara.

VR46 Ducati has already retained Fermin Aldeguer, although the second seat remains undecided. Ducati is believed to favour Nicolo Bulega, but Luca Marini could also return to his former team if he does not secure another ride elsewhere.
Tech3 KTM is the biggest remaining question mark on the grid. Contract options for Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini expired at the end of June, with Bastianini expected to move to Trackhouse Aprilia. Trackhouse is also working on a one-year extension for Raul Fernandez. Tech3 is reportedly considering Moto2 rider Senna Agius, while Marini and Vinales also remain in contention.
The reshuffle is expected to continue as several Moto2 riders prepare to make the step up. Alonso, Holgado, Guevara and Agius are all tipped to earn MotoGP seats, while current Moto2 championship leader Manu Gonzalez remains an outside contender.
Their arrival could leave several established MotoGP race winners without a place on the 2027 grid. Alex Rins, Franco Morbidelli, Jack Miller and Brad Binder have yet to secure rides, while Vinales also faces an uncertain future if Tech3 decides to overhaul its line-up.
Several of those riders are already exploring opportunities in the World Superbike Championship. Morbidelli, Binder, Miller and Rins are understood to be open to making the switch, although both Vinales and Marini have ruled out leaving MotoGP.
With only a handful of seats still available, the 2027 rider market is entering its final phase. However, several key decisions remain, and the battle for the remaining places could continue until the closing stages of the transfer window.
