The Millennium Estoril Open returns to the ATP Tour as a 250-level event in 2026, bringing top-level men's tennis back to Portugal after spending last year as an ATP Challenger tournament.
The clay-court event will be held at Clube de Ténis do Estoril from July 20 to 26, with qualifying matches taking place on July 18 and 19. The main draw begins on July 20, following qualifying on July 18 and 19. The draw ceremony will be held on July 18. For fans in Malaysia, the singles final will start at 10:00 p.m. MYT on Sunday, July 26, with the doubles final following at 12:30 a.m. MYT on Monday, July 27.
Leading the field is three-time French Open runner-up Casper Ruud, who will be joined by former world No. 5 Andrey Rublev and Italy's Luciano Darderi. Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka also features in the entry list, while Portugal's top-ranked player Nuno Borges will look to make a deep run in front of his home fans.
A total prize pool of €612,620 (approximately RM3.03 million) will be on offer. The singles champion will receive €93,175 (around RM461,000) along with 250 ATP ranking points, while the runner-up will earn €54,360 (about RM269,000) and 165 ranking points.
The tournament returns with a rich history despite its relatively recent place on the ATP calendar. Hubert Hurkacz lifted the most recent ATP title in Estoril in 2024 after defeating Pedro Martinez in the final, while Gonzalo Escobar and Aleksandr Nedovyesov claimed the doubles crown.
No player has won the Estoril Open singles title more than once since the tournament joined the ATP Tour in 2015. Albert Ramos-Viñolas became the oldest champion when he triumphed in 2021 at the age of 33, while Stefanos Tsitsipas remains the youngest winner after claiming the title as a 20-year-old in 2019. Pablo Carreño Busta holds the record for the most match victories at the tournament with 13.
