Australian Moto2 rider Senna Agius will make the jump to MotoGP in 2027 after securing a seat with Tech3 KTM, completing the team's rider lineup alongside Luca Marini.
The announcement confirms a move that had been widely expected, with new team boss Guenther Steiner reportedly playing a key role in selecting the 20-year-old. Agius will join the satellite KTM squad as MotoGP prepares to enter a new era of regulations and machinery.
Agius has established himself as one of Moto2's emerging talents through a combination of speed, consistency and race-winning performances. His progress began in the Moto2 European Championship, where he finished runner-up in 2022 before claiming the title the following year.
He moved to the Moto2 World Championship full-time in 2024 and secured a podium during his debut season. Since then, the Australian has continued to develop into a competitive rider and is currently fighting for a place in the top three of the 2026 championship.
