Valentino Rossi, Francesco Bagnaia and several VR46 Academy riders took part in a Misano training session during the MotoGP summer break as they prepare for the second half of the season.

Valentino Rossi, Francesco Bagnaia and several MotoGP stars returned to the track during the summer break, taking part in a training session at Misano as preparations continue ahead of the season restart.

The session was held at the Misano World Circuit during the Italian CIV championship weekend, with several riders from the VR46 Riders Academy using the opportunity to maintain their fitness and sharpen their skills before MotoGP returns at Silverstone in August.

Among those present were nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi, Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia, Franco Morbidelli, Luca Marini and Celestino Vietti. The group used Misano as their training base, with the VR46 Academy regularly making use of the circuit for on-track preparation.

For Bagnaia, the outing was an important step in his recovery after recently dealing with an injury. The Ducati rider is aiming to regain full fitness before the British Grand Prix, which marks MotoGP's return following the summer break.

However, Marco Bezzecchi was absent from the Misano session as he continues recovering from a fractured collarbone sustained during qualifying at the Sachsenring. The Aprilia rider is targeting a return at Silverstone and remains focused on completing his rehabilitation ahead of the next race weekend.

The Misano gathering highlights the importance of preparation during MotoGP's mid-season break, with riders using every opportunity to stay competitive before the championship resumes. With the second half of the season approaching, the VR46 Academy riders will be hoping the extra track time helps them return stronger for the remaining races.
