Enea Bastianini has made another major move in his MotoGP career, with the Italian confirming a switch to Trackhouse Aprilia for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
The seven-time Grand Prix winner will leave Tech3 KTM and join Trackhouse from the 2027 Valencia test, giving the Aprilia satellite team an experienced rider as MotoGP prepares for its biggest technical changes in years.
Known as "The Beast" for his aggressive riding style, Bastianini brings considerable premier-class experience to Trackhouse, along with a proven record of winning races. His arrival is expected to play an important role in the development of Aprilia's new RS-GP as the championship enters a new era.
Trackhouse had already confirmed Raul Fernandez for 2027 earlier this month, meaning the team will have an all-race-winning line-up next season. The combination of Bastianini's experience and Fernandez's speed could give Trackhouse one of its strongest pairings yet.
Team principal Justin Marks welcomed the signing, praising Bastianini's racing pedigree and personality while highlighting what the Italian can bring to the project.

His career has taken several twists in recent years. After establishing himself as a race winner with Gresini Ducati, Bastianini earned a move to the factory Ducati team. Injuries and strong competition made his time there difficult, however, and he subsequently joined Tech3 KTM in 2025.
Now, the 28-year-old will once again change manufacturers as he looks to find greater consistency and return to regular front-running form with Aprilia.
The move is also another sign of how quickly the 2027 MotoGP grid is taking shape. Ai Ogura has already been confirmed for a move to the factory Yamaha team, where he will partner Jorge Martin, adding another major piece to the rider market.
Trackhouse's decision to secure Bastianini also underlines the importance of experience ahead of the 850cc era. With every manufacturer effectively facing a new starting point, riders who can provide strong technical feedback and adapt quickly could become particularly valuable.
Bastianini now has two seasons secured with Trackhouse, giving him the stability to focus on the new regulations and help shape Aprilia's next-generation machine.
