Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has completed its rider line-up for the 2027 MotoGP season by signing Fabio Di Giannantonio on a multi-year deal, with the Italian set to partner Alex Marquez as the team enters MotoGP's new 850cc era.
Di Giannantonio will leave the VR46 Racing Team at the end of the 2026 season after three years with the Ducati-backed outfit. Since joining VR46 in 2024, the 27-year-old has established himself as one of the championship's most consistent front-runners, earning multiple podiums and victories, including a breakthrough win earlier this season.
His arrival marks a significant statement of intent from KTM, which has rebuilt its factory rider roster ahead of MotoGP's major regulation changes in 2027. With both Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez joining from Ducati machinery, KTM is banking on proven race winners to lead its next chapter.
KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer praised Di Giannantonio's rapid development over the past few seasons, describing him as a rider who combines speed, consistency and determination. He said the Italian has matured into a genuine contender capable of helping the manufacturer fight regularly at the front.
Di Giannantonio said the move represents the biggest opportunity of his MotoGP career. He thanked VR46 for playing a key role in his development and said he is excited to begin a new challenge with KTM, while remaining focused on delivering strong results for his current team before making the switch in 2027.
With Marquez and Di Giannantonio now confirmed, KTM has finalised a completely new factory line-up for 2027, signalling its ambition to become a leading force when MotoGP enters a new technical era.
