Pickleball Kingdom is taking its indoor pickleball model to Australia and New Zealand through a new master franchise agreement with entrepreneur Cameron Bloomfield.

Pickleball Kingdom is continuing its international expansion after signing a new master franchise agreement with Australian entrepreneur Cameron Bloomfield to develop clubs across Australia and New Zealand. The agreement takes the indoor pickleball franchise's footprint to four countries — the United States, India, Australia and New Zealand — with further international markets expected to follow.

Key Points:

  • Pickleball Kingdom has signed Cameron Bloomfield to develop clubs across Australia and New Zealand.
  • The expansion brings the franchise's presence to four countries, alongside the United States and India.
  • Bloomfield will lead site selection, market development and franchise growth across the region.
  • The clubs will offer year-round indoor pickleball, including coaching, open play, leagues, tournaments and community events.

Pickleball Kingdom Sets Sights on Australia and New Zealand

As Master Franchisee, Bloomfield will oversee market development, site selection, franchise growth and the rollout of Pickleball Kingdom clubs across both countries. Founder and CEO Ace Rodrigues described Australia and New Zealand as another major milestone for the brand, noting that the franchise now has a presence in four countries.

“Universally, the world all agrees on the value of physical and mental health as well as community,” Rodrigues said. “Our mission is to bring the Kingdom experience to players around the globe, and with this partnership, we’re doing exactly that.”

Indoor Pickleball Built for Year-Round Play

Pickleball Kingdom clubs are designed around a premium, climate-controlled indoor experience, allowing players to stay on court throughout the year. The facilities are set to offer professional coaching, daily open play, court reservations, leagues, tournaments and community events, giving players multiple ways to participate beyond casual games.

The model also places community at the centre of the club experience as Pickleball Kingdom continues to introduce its brand to new markets.

Cameron Bloomfield Brings Development Experience

Bloomfield brings more than 30 years of experience across strategy, acquisitions, property development and leasing to his new role. His previous work includes delivering more than 500 childcare places and over 150 homes across Melbourne, with several projects receiving Design & Development Excellence Awards.

He is also a five-time Australian representative at the Triathlon World Championships, combining his business background with a longstanding connection to sport.

Rob Streett, President and Chief Global Officer of Pickleball Kingdom, highlighted Bloomfield's commercial and development experience as key assets for the expansion.

“Cam possesses the commercial expertise, development experience, and passion for community needed to build something special across Australia and New Zealand,” Streett said.

Building a Pickleball Community Down Under

For Bloomfield, the opportunity extends beyond opening new pickleball venues.

“Pickleball is more than a sport, it’s a catalyst for community, belonging, and wellbeing,” Bloomfield said. “I’m honoured to partner with Pickleball Kingdom to deliver world-class clubs that bring people together and build pathways for the players, coaches, and champions of tomorrow.”

With Australia and New Zealand now added to its international footprint, Pickleball Kingdom is preparing to bring its indoor club model to more communities while continuing its expansion into additional markets.
