Diogo Moreira showed resilience at the Czech Grand Prix, overcoming tyre management issues to finish 11th in Brno and add valuable points to his tally ahead of next week's race in Assen.

Diogo Moreira secured a points-scoring finish at the Czech Grand Prix in Brno on Sunday, bringing his Honda LCR machine home in 11th place after a demanding race.

The Brazilian started from fifth on the grid after gaining a position following a rival's penalty. He made an excellent launch and quickly established himself among the frontrunners, briefly looking capable of challenging for a podium result.

However, race conditions proved difficult as Moreira opted for the medium tyre compound, prioritising consistency and reliability after suffering a crash during the previous day's action.

"It was a tough race. We chose the medium tyre because it was the safest option and, after yesterday's crash, it was important to make sure we reached the finish," said Moreira.

As the race progressed, maintaining the early pace became increasingly challenging. Moreira gradually dropped positions but remained focused on tyre preservation and avoiding costly mistakes.

"The final stages of the race were difficult, and I focused on managing the tyre and bringing it home," he added.

Despite the challenges, the young Brazilian delivered a composed ride to finish 11th, collecting valuable championship points and gathering useful data for the team.

Moreira was encouraged by the outcome given the circumstances and is already looking ahead to the next round at Assen.

"Considering the circumstances, we did a good job and managed to score points. In Assen, we'll aim to take another step forward and be back fighting again."
